I grew up in New York during the sixties, I loved Rock & Roll. However, my Dad owned the 'Big Grundig Stereo' in our living room., it was 'HIS' stereo, he would play these crooner people all the time. When we came home after school, we would have to take the Frank Sinatra or Vaughn Monroe LPs off the turntable, put on our Beatles, Stones, or Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs records, rock out. to the tunes of the day we loved. Before Dad got home from work we repositioned Dads records precisely as they were so he wouldn't know we used 'The Grundig' Again at night, we received yet another dose of these crooners. Through multiple listening s of theses crooners, I came to respect and admire the ability of their art. I wonder if Dad knew we used his stereo? Probably did.......................... The song 'THE CROONERS' was written by (me) Joe Gerace, (playing the lead guitar in this video) released in 2006 as a KNIGHTMOODS tune, for a commercial CD which never came about. so...........
