Based in Brentwood, Long Island, Mack cut his first single while still a teenager, though nothing came of it. He was working as a go-fer for hometown heroes EPMD when he hooked up with Sean "Puffy" Combs, who offered him a spot on a Mary J. Blige remix in 1992. Looking through tapes again. Funny, I almost skipped over this because cartoons were on the majority of the tape. I decided to fast forward in order to make sure there was just cartoons on it. It's the good thing that I did! I found this Yo! MTV Raps episode with Puff, Biggie and Craig Mack on. It was cool to see since you know, Biggie is not around anymore. As I was watching it, I noticed when Puff was asked about future projects, he mentioned Craig Mack's new album, but Craig Mack had a face like "a new album, how come I don't know about it?" Of course we all know that Diddy was lying as he dropped Craig Mack because he only went gold and not platinum. If you recall, Craig Mack was more popular than Biggie was at the start and then Biggie became more popular and Puff gave his attention to him.
