Esta apresentação de slides é sobre a Matriz São Simão Apóstolo, localizada na Praça da matriz, s/ nº, centro de São Simão, SP; próximo a Ribeirão Preto. Este templo foi eregido há mais de 150 anos, pelo povoado de São Simão, que mais tarde seria elevado à categoria de município por Lei Imperial. A igreja foi construída com rochas naturais e tem paredes com uma espessura de, aproximadamente, 1 metro. Em 1954, aproximadamente, a igreja ganhou a torre do relógio, pois, até então, sua torre limitava-se ao campanário. Também foi totalmente reformada externamente no fim da década de 1990. Teve concluída entre 2004 e 2005 a reforma e restauração de todos os forros, por medida de precaução. Está ligada à uma belíssima combinação de natureza e urbanismo. Em seu interior, vê-se o belíssimo púlpito italiano todo esculpido em madeira desembarcado no Porto de Santos no começo do século XX e trazido a São Simão pela via férrea. Em seu interior, ainda, nota-se a presença de um par de anjos, em tamenho natural, próximos ao Altar-mor, esculpidos também em madeira e de enorme valor histórico e cultural. Como um todo, a igreja é decorada toda em vigas e colunas romanas e gregas, arcos romanos, duas rosáceas, sacristia e sala do Santíssimo amplas, três sinos, um mesanino para o coral no fundo da igreja, uma gruta dedicada à Nossa Senhora de Lourdes, além de ter o piso em granito. O Altar-mor é todo esculpido em mármore e, segundo algumas fontes, data da década de 1960.. + Informações

It was the only such movie filmed in color and was the first to feature surprise cameo appearances from other well-known stars of the day. George and Harold, American song-and dance-men performing in Melbourne, Australia, have to leave in a hurry to avoid various marriage proposals. They end up in Darwin, where they take jobs as pearl divers for a prince. They are taken by boat to an idyllic island on the way to Bali, (the location is unclear, but possibly in the Maluku Islands). They vie with each other for the favours of exotic (and half-Scottish) Princess Lalah, a cousin of the Prince. The hazardous dive produces a chest of priceless jewels, which the prince plans to claim as his own. After escaping from the prince and his henchmen, the three are shipwrecked and washed up another island. Lalah is now in love with both of the boys and can't decide which to chose. Following further romantic complications, the boys participate in a traditional marriage ceremony, both thinking they're marrying Lalah. The plot concerns a big game hunter on an island who chooses to hunt humans for sport. The film stars Joel McCrea, Leslie Banks, and King Kong leads Fay Wray and Robert Armstrong, and was made by a team including Ernest B. Schoedsack and Merian C. Cooper, the co-directors of King Kong (1933). Because it was so inexpensive to make, costing only $200000, The Most Dangerous Game made more profit for RKO than the very expensive King Kong did. Famous big game hunter and author Bob Rainsford (Joel McCrea) swims to a small, lush island, the sole survivor of a shipwreck. There, he becomes the guest of Russian Count Zaroff (Leslie Banks), a fellow hunting enthusiast. Zaroff remarks that Bob's misfortune is not uncommon; in fact, four people from the previous sinking are still staying with him: Eve Trowbridge (Fay Wray), her brother Martin (Robert Armstrong), and two sailors. That night, Zaroff introduces Bob to the Trowbridges and reveals his obsession with hunting. During one of his hunts, a Cape buffalo inflicted a head wound on him.
