This song was released in 1982. I was 12 then and all I knew about music was the main stream pop tunes that played on the radio, and Elvis Presley because my dad used to listen to Elvis all the time. I started to go to a place called the "Teen Town", where there were pinball machines, a few couches, a TV, a snack bar and a DJ and a dance floor. The DJs used to play a lot of Foreigner, Toto and that kind of stuff. And one night I heard Coney Hatch. I loved the heavy riff that got my head banging. They also played Stand Up from the same album once in a while, and I loved it too, but I can't find it on youtube and don't even remember how it goes. So this is a nostalgic cover of the first "metal" song I remember hearing. I don't play it correct on the bass. The original bass stays mainly on the open E string during the verse, but the idea was to have fun. Also I make little mistakes, like when I come back to the the verse part right after the first chorus, I'm a little disoriented. But I learned the song fifteen minutes before I shot the video and my memory of the song is a little blurry after more than 25 years LOL.. + Informações
