It's easy as pie! Just use vaseline and any eyeshadow, pigments or blush. Dont throw them away, turn them into fun lip colors! Customize the color to your liking! Yes of course, it's safe on the lips ( Most of your lip glosses are made from pure pigments anyways). So save money! I use to play with my mother's eyeshadows when I was a child. I applied eyeshadow on my vasaline moisturized lips and realize I created my own blue lip color! It was an amazing discovery for me, but I realize I was not the only one who did this. You can find them at Sallys as well. ;p -Mix 1 part color (1.2 oz) & 2 parts developer (2.4 oz) -Start at the bottom of your hair & work your way up, leaving your roots for last. -Let color process for 30 minutes to an hour. I left it on for an hour because my hair was dark. -Rinse hair in cold water -I used Macadamia Deep Repair Masque after coloring -Let hair air dry to prevent any added damage from the heat of a blow dryer * My hair is pretty much in the same state as it was before I dyed it red. & remember I did color it twice. Hello U Guys !!! Happy Friday ~ The manicure we will be working on today is a couple of week's old, I made this design while I was still living in the city. To make the design I was using my water based acrylic paints I purchased them from Barns & Nobles, Brand is Faber Castel. I only use the water based acrylic paint for doing designs on my nails & never use it over my entire nail. Make sure to always use a basecoat, & topcoat when using acrylic paints. Clean up is alot faster, if you make a mistake you can just remove the mistake with water. You will find the water based acrylic paint at your local craft store. You will notice the background color change from a sparkly french manicure to a red background. It was fun to create a design on top of this Del Sol nail polish. In this video I will show you how to make a red cabbage pH indicator. This is a very intesting experiment that is very simple. What you will need: Red cabbage Distilled water (Reverse osmosis will work too) A stove or heat source First cut the cabbage leaves into small pieces and add them to distilled water and bring to a boil, let it boil for 2 minutes and then turn off heating and let cool slowly. Now you have your indicator and some cabbage pieces. Use a strainer or coffee filter to remove particles. The deep purple solution is your indicator you can refrigerate it for short term use or add 15% volume of alcohol (im using 91% isopropanol) You can test the indicator by adding acids and bases. In an acid envirornment it turns red (NaHSO4, HCl, Citic acid etc...) In a neutral environment its purple (Distiled H2O) In mild bases it is blue (Sodium Acetate) In weak bases it is blue green (NaHCO3) I medium strong bases it is dark green (Na2CO3) In very strong bases it is yellow (NaOH) The active chemical in the indicator is Anthocyanins. They change color in acid and basic enviornments. Red cabbage is high in Anthocyanins but other plants like raspberrys, grapes, and puple corn have similar chemicals that change color in pH. An update on my hair after dying it twice with Special Effects dye. The dye lasted well on the top of my head and my fringe, but the bottoms went brown and blonde, though I think this was more to do with my bleach job and shampoo than anything. But re applying the dye all over for 40 minutes worked amazingly well and I love this colour more than after I dyed it the first time. NEW: Stop insulting me just because my dye job didn't go to plan, not even approving douche bag comments any more. More info below, read before sending questions, your answer might be in there :) I'm no expert, I ask professionals for advice and just experiment from there. I'm not saying you should do this, I just filmed what I done because, well why not? :) What I did: *I washed my red hair with head and shoulders anti dandruff shampoo twice. This got rid of A LOT of the red, and left patches of brown. *Then I used colour b4 extra strength colour stripper, this got rid of most of the red leaving me a blonde/ginger colour. The affinage dye actually stripped better than the pre bleached special effects parts of my hair which surprised me! *I began bleaching my hair at home but ran out of bleach, thanks manic panic for your tiny bloody bleach kits! Went to the salon to get it fixed, and they fixed it. But I had chemical burns in my head for a week so could not dye it yet. *Messed up the dye first time but putting so much conditioner with it that it didn't stick. *Got it re done by mum. Worked a little better.
