The title comes from an Edo-period haiku: "Colder than snow it is indeed ? The winter moon on my gray hair!" The January full moon, known as the wolf moon in Native America, is the brightest full moon of the year because of the clarity and dryness of the cold winter atmosphere. This sequence was shot with a Canon HG10, 40X digital zoom mostly and manual focus. I tinted the clips and adjusted speed variously 400 percent, 500 percent and 800 percent.
