www.RC-ers-Gonewild.com presents this special edition program of Dave flying and testing the ClearView RC Flight simulator called "On a ClearView Night". http is their website to download this sim and at $39.95, this simulator will give all the top sims some competition. The Esky 0905a transmitter ($19.95 from xheli.com www.dpbolvw.net ) works perfectly with this sim. Although there are few provisions for dual rates, landing gears, wing flaps, brakes, etc, the flying characteristics really are well thought out. Someone put a lot of effort into making this program work. The graphics are top notch and the amount of planes and helis that are actual replicas of the real models are amazing. It works with just about and TX and sim cord. I can also using my Spektrum Dx6i, with no problems. This is an excellent training aid to learn to fly and will teach a lot to beginners and pros alike. But remember, even though you have to know what to do with the sticks in the sim just as real life, you must beware of getting a cocky attitude because you can fly the sim so well. That usually changes the first time out to the field as you see sims can give you a false sense of confidence. So practice more than you think you need to and this will help immensely. I recommend this Clearview flight sim to everybody. It is really fun and has some neat training aids to help. It works on Vista perfectly. Check out their website and happy flying. I have been flying and teaching helicopters for 30 years. I was lucky to have an instructor, John Simone Jr. He was the National Helicopter Champion at the time. This is a similar practice session for those of you who would like to learn 4 channel helis. My steps are simple. Use tiny inputs, keep nose into the wind. Don't fly behind or around you, and don't let your friends watch you when learning. They expect way more, being unaware that just hovering a 4 channel helicopter is most difficult and why there are so few heli pilots. Don't let them "egg you on", or you will regret it. Bigger Gas or Electric helicopters are better to learn on because they are heavier and respond smoother and less jerky than with lightweight helis, especially if it is breezy. I know that this may not be "your" technique and there may be many comments. But this technique works for me and my students, so I stick to it. I will send my 9 heli flying tips if you PM me, but please, I am waaaay behind, so be patient. The featured helicopters are all from Nitroplanes. I will be doing a short review and flight on each one within the week. ClearView (requires no special RAM or Video cards) has added RC Cars to their Sim. I aggressively show how the cars work! I have purchased sims over the years and I've got most of them too. I even worked for RealFlight. For value, the graphics are good, & flight physics are very real! This is a good training aid and tool to teach orientation and coordination for less $ and Cars are a BLAST! The Graphics are great in the latest version. You can download it for free to try it out and see if it works on you computer. If it does, simply get the activation key and your in business. The Aircraft and Heli Flight Physics are tremendous and should give all the top notch simulator makers a run for their money. No matter what, it is all about learning how to fly, so that is the most important anyway....how it flies. These models fly like the real thing to me. All the parameters can be changed on the cars too, to adjust braking, swerving, rollovers, etc. You can also turn on smoke, etc. There are 40 planes, 40 helicopters and 6 cars on this program.
