Born in 1928, Chuck Willis was known as The King of the Stroll. He suffered from stomach ulcers for many years and he sadly died during surgery in Chicago in 1958 at the peak of his career. His last single was 'What Am I Living For' and this was the 'B' side. It's a great record that was a big hit as a stroller back in the rockabilly clubs in the early 80's.. + Informações

Chuck Willis (b.1928 d.1958) "King of the Stroll" one of R&B's greatest singer songwriters. He had many hit records through the 1950's, and others had hits with his songs also. "CC Rider" became a huge cross over hit in 1957 and sound track for the dance crazy 'The Stroll'. After emergency surgery for bleeding ulcers he died of peritonitis.
