Note: This is an abbreviated version of Asturias performed by Christopher Parkening from the LP, "In the Spanish Style?Albéniz," distributed on the Angel label, serial number S-36020, 1968. I created this video from a track on a demo LP produced by Angel in collaboration with JBL sound studios. The Angel/JBL LP (an image of which you can see in the video above, and which, I believe, was sent by JBL to classical music radio stations and record stores around the US sometime in the 1970s to promote sales of Angel LPs and JBL speakers) consists of selected tracks from a variety of Angel recordings that were performed in concert halls (hence, the piece is only a sample of the entire Parkening recording). Parkening's was one of these. An image (taken from the front of the JBL LP cover) of the original Parkening LP can be seen at the opening of this video.. + Informações
