In this update we'll see some footage of us recording a cover of Sarah McLachlan's "Ice." Our version of the song takes what she played on the guitar and put it on the piano while coming up with a new guitar and bass part. Vocals haven't been recorded yet for the song. Also we'll see how Keith Warman comes up with his solos. When he records he takes the solo section of the song and plays various improvisations over it. By doing this over and over certain pieces from the improvs will stand out and these pieces are then played together in one long solo. It's my favorite part of recording. I really find it interesting to watch where a solo begins from improvisation to a more concrete format.. + Informações

Rory drops a stick in the beginning and in Keith's first solo, breaks a string at the end of it, changes guitars during the part in the middle, plugs in and joins back in for the second solo right on time. Here we go with the Cea Serin Studio Update #3. This week we're working on "Holy Mother" rhythm tracks and things are going well if the computer would stop crashing. Then a little later on I go to help out at Deadwing Manor. Deadwing Manor is a haunted house out in Livingston, LA created by Keith Guillory of Menagerie. I also play keyboards, percussion, guitar, and backing vocals in Menagerie so you should probably check them out. Then I go on over to the Vampire Film Festival. A while back I recorded some original music for the short horror film "The Lost Island of Laveau." It was being screened at the VFF in New Orleans so I swung by to make an appearance, make some contacts, and check out some other films in the fest.. + Informações

This is "Arlequin" from Cirque Du Soleil's Saltimbanco show. For the most part I kept true to the original live recording but completely c hanged the solo to fit my style of playing.. + Informações

I took my original Cirque Du Soleil kit audio of Climb for the electric bass and time stretched it (compressed it) 75%. It basically went from about 158 bpm to about 218 bpm. This process keeps the song in the same key but speeds it up significantly.. + Informações

This is a track called "Saltimbanco" from the Cirque Du Soleil show of the same name. In this video I showcase playing bass and percussion at the same time as well as my ability on other instruments: guitar, keyboards, and drums. The song starts off with me playing along with the CD with my bass turned up a bit out of the mix so you can tell what I'm playing. When the song kicks in the audio switches from the audio CD to myself playing the other instruments. The song switches back to the CD along with myself still on bass to close out the song.. + Informações

I took the original Ephra track and compressed the file by a quarter. I then took that file and compressed it more making the song about twice as fast as usual. I then played along with it and there you have it.. + Informações
