The Who convention 2006 www.dgw-hamburg.de This was 'The Wholigans' 3rd headlining gig at a WHO convention ,the first was 2003 (Hamburg Germany) & 2003 London UK then 2010 in London and we may or may not play the one in 2013 (we haven't been asked) THE 2010 WHO convention thewhoconvention.com ______ This is part 1 of a 3 part series (video courtesy of Derek Bhupsingh) Part 2 here www.youtube.com Part 3 www.youtube.com The WHO convention 2006 Saturday 1st April WHO fans,led by Ron Dovey organiser from 'TheShout' a WHO / PeteTownshend forum www.ukmajortom.demon.co.uk put on what turned out to be the 2nd of 2 conventions since 2003, that he along with Nigel Morton of Moneypennyagency UK made happen after members of a WHO forum called 'TheShout' "asked" if a 2nd Who convention could be put together. Ron took that ball and ran with it along with several other 'shouters' who worked really hard for a year to put this show on. (you know WHO you are,:and too numerous to mention) WHO fans came from across the globe to be with 'WHO family' and The Wholigans were privileged to be asked to play both conventions. Organized by The Merseycats, this is a yearly fan gathering in the Casbah Club in Liverpool to see original Beatle's drummer Pete Best and his Band play. The Beatles played the Casbah prior to The Cavern and it is steeped with genuine Beatle's history. A real must see for true fans. Ceilings painted by John and Paul are amongst the treasures to be seen. It has barely changed in all the 50 plus years. Hopefully this short video captures some of the fantastic atmosphere and magic of this truly historic old Beatle's haunt, which is still owned by the Best family.
