'Goodnight' is the last song in 'Piece,' but it has a very personal story behind it, as many of my songs do. My cousins boyfriend passed away from AIDS I remember speaking to my cousin on the phone and asking him 'what does one say to someone who knows, in a few minutes, they will be gone ?' His answer ? Nothing !!! You just hold them in your arms, kiss them as many times as you can, and let them go. I wrote 'Goodnight' for this reason. I wanted to find the perfect words to say to someone, to let them know of all the beautiful things they will once again experience in there life.
