This music video production consists of video footage of Alaskan Wolves taken by Ben Boyd, producer for Boyd Communications. Boyd's Indian name given to him by his grandfather is "Brother to the Wolf" because his spirit helper is wolf. Boyd came to Alaska in-1975 to live a traditional native way of life in remote Indian Villages and also so he could have encounters with his spirit helper to gain spiritual insight. He would send several months alone in the wilderness gathering fish, caribou and moose for subsistence. During his stays he would encounter wolves and have a spiritual relationship with them. He would always keep his rifle ready when in close contact as you can never fully trust wild animals as some foolish people have done and paid for it. (example: The Grizzly Man) Today, Boyd hunts with a video camera and his hunting experience, living a subsistence way of life, has help give him the skills to video tape animals at close range. A high powered lens was not used to take this footage, but the stock 20X lens on the camera. Some shots were taken as close a 25 yards. The music that accompanies these shots is an original song entitled: "Brother to All Men" that is the instrumental version of the same song with vocals that is on another one of his videos on Youtube entitled, "Brother to all Men"and can be found under the heading, "Native American Dance Alaska Caribou Hunting Video". Shot in June 2007. The video begins with a view of the Anchorage skyline from across the Cook Inlet in Lynn Ary Park. Next I stop in downtown for a view of the city from a fountain in the center of the city. Next I journey down the very scenic Seward Highway along Turnagain Arm. The Native American Music Video, "BROTHER TO ALL MEN" is a documentation of a Native American Hunting Dance. Sixty-seven year old, Ben Boyd "BROTHER TO THE WOLF" has lived a Traditional Native Subsistence Way of Life in Alaska Indian Villages since 1975. He performed the dance while there was a shortage of caribou meat which was the main source of food for the villagers. The caribou migrated by the village around mid August, but it was getting late, and they had not come. The spiritual leader of the village ask Boyd to go up on the mountain and dance and pray for caribou to come. Boyd took his Indian cloths and a video camera to the mountain and danced all day while moving the camera on a tripod around to different positions to record the dance. A few days later the caribou came and the village obtained meat. The dance Boyd did was one that was taught to him by his Indian grandfather. The motions of the dance are not near as important as the mental state of the dancer. While in a state of meditation the dancer prays to summons animals through a form of mental telepathy, as that is how animals communicate. The dance was not an Alaska Native Dance.
