Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia, experienced severe devastation in the January 2011 flash floods... Fatalities have been substantial for both humans and animals in all Australian flood affected areas... People are still trying to recover from the loss, both material and emotional. On March 20th 2011, the flood devastated region of Toowoomba came together to embrace the 'Spirit of the Country' with famous country musicians banning together to lift the spirits of the region. This free event saw 25000 people stand, sit and dance in the rain, embracing true Aussie spirit. Prince William made a welcomed appearance to meet many of those affected by the natural disaster and event brainchild Gina Jeffreys, made a point of showing the Prince her lovely pink gumboots!
