Breakwater - Release The Beast from 1980 Breakwater was a funk and soul American band from Philadelphia, formed in 1971. The band consisted of Gene Robinson, James Gee Jones, Linc 'Love' Gilmore, Steve Green, Vince Garnell, Greg Scott, John 'Dutch' Braddock, and Kae Williams, Jr. The band released two albums: Breakwater in 1978, and Splashdown in 1980. The latter features the song "Release the Beast", which was sampled for the Murs track "Intro" in the album Murs 3:16: The 9th Edition. "Release the Beast" was later sampled by Daft Punk for the song "Robot Rock", which appeared on the album Human After All. This video was filmed as I walked along the Holyhead Breakwater which shields the port from the Irish Sea Weather. A remarkable structure, it's 1.7 miles (2.7 km) long and took 28 years to build. It's the longest breakwater in the UK, and is an engineering marvel of vast proportions. Work began in 1845 and it was officially opened on 19 August 1873 by Albert Edward, Prince of Wales. On average, 1300 men were employed to build it and seven million tons of limestone from Moelfre, Anglesey were used in its construction. It's easy to get to from Holyhead Railway Station/Town Centre and highly recommended; allow three/four hours for the full walk. MYKA A nice dive dive to do from the shore at breakwater, Monterey, California. It's a long long kick dive, along the warf at the beginning. I think it's better to do it with a scooter ! A double tanks or a rebreather will be more confortable if you decide to swim. You do want to take a compass and a diving reel or a spool. The barge is far out enough to be in boat traffic (I heard a lot of boats, very loud). Don't go to the surface out there if at all possible.. + Informações
