Passengers on a plane diverted to Sweden because of a bomb threat arrive safely at a Karachi airport. The plane had left Canada bound for Pakistan when a woman called Canadian police warning someone on the flight was carrying explosives. No explosive were found, and a man initially detained was set free. Still, for passengers on the Pakistan International Airlines flight, it was a tense ordeal. [Mohammad Umer Memon, Flight OPK782 Passenger]: "That passenger was sitting next to me. He looked drunk. He was behaving strangely. Later he became normal. But they made the plane land in Sweden and the whole plane was searched. Now we are here. They detained that man in Sweden and now we hear they have set him free." [Mrs. Afzal, Flight OPK782 Passenger]: "It wasn't panicky. Everybody was calm and quiet because at that time we didn't know what was happening. The Swedish government took care of us. So, we were all calm and quiet. But it was horrifying." As the plane was parked at Stockholm's airport on on Saturday, the 255 passengers were evacuated while police and fire fighters stood by. The aircraft was in Swedish airspace when word of the threat reached the pilot. Swedish authorities later said there wasn't enough evidence to arrest the man suspected of carrying explosives. The FBI is investigating a written bomb threat that was left on a Los Angeles-bound plane from Bangkok. The Thai Airways' airbus A340-500 was carrying 171 passengers and 18 crew members. All on board were interviewed by the authorities upon arrival in California Tuesday night. The aircraft was searched and all baggage was screened. No bomb was found. LAX airport officials were aware of the the threat 90 minutes before the aircrafts arrival Tuesday night. It is not currently known if passengers were aware of the threat in flight. Just after five o'clock on Wednesday evening, the flight crew of Korean Air Flight 72 was given the all-clear and the plane roared down the runway at CFB Comox. The jet went to Vancouver to refuel, and then departed once again for its original destination of Seoul, South Korea. All of the original passengers and crew were onboard, and RCMP confirm that no threat was found on the plane or any of its passengers. The jet was escorted in to Comox at about 5:30 Tuesday evening by American fighter jets after someone phoned a bomb threat into the airline's Los Angeles offices. Passengers were held on the plane for hours and then brought to local hotels for the night. The following day they were searched and interrogated.
