Bobby Freeman was so much more than Do You Want To Dance and C'mon And Swim...he had a lot of other great records that were commercial failures in spite of being such great records, and this one is one of them. It was one of his follow ups to his first big hit, but never charted, to my knowledge, and was one of his last for the Josie label. I believe Bobby still performs in California these days, but it would be nice to see him perform on one of those PBS specials, since i'm sure many people have no idea he's even still out there. We were approached to try an Organ Jam...with unrehearsed, and spontanious programming at Union Hills Country Club, Sun City Arizona. This venue has never had a concert like this. Here are some highlights from the January 2012 show, hosted by Bobby Freeman.. + Informações

NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Loma 2056) Out of Los Angeles, this amazing 1966 release is absolutely dripping with the Phil Spector sound and is the second version of it. The first version was an East Coast recording (and also another 'Wall Of Sound' production) by Billy Vera with The Cookies and issued on the Cameo label as 'The Blue Eyed Soul'. The third version was also out of New York and released in 1967 by Toni Mason on the Jubilee label. That version being a more soulful effort. The fourth version was issued on Buddah by the Five Stairsteps in 1968. The arrangement on their version is very classy and similar to the original by 'The Blue Eyed Soul. Bobby Freeman's version in my opinion hits the bullseye. The deep, echo-filled, gargantuan arrangement by Hank Levine showcases the talents of The Wrecking Crew with the beautiful background vocals by The Blossoms. This one should have been a hit.. + Informações
