Cold, brutal PIF from who knows when, originally part of one of the legendary AdArchive's bulk uploads and extracted for searchability. And commentary, which a lot of people seem to like. This, the most depressing thing to ever be associated with ice-cream, was clearly being shown in 1989, along with other PIFs from a decade or more prior such as "They Call Him John" and "Spread Your Breaking Gently", and that dadaist roundabout one. Almost unheard of in these brand-conscious days when the campaigns are replaced every two years or so - Julie notwithstanding. I'm only guessing, of course, but it seems pretty seventies to me: shot on film, cold and functional (no slogan, just a freeze-frame of inevitable disaster; no post-production magic other than a shocking and sudden echo effect), and the voice of Sir Edward of Judd, mixed and modulated so far above the rest of the PIF that it's genuinely like a kick in the stomach. Running concurrently with Drinking and Driving Wrecks Lives, and similarly focuses on guilt and emotional pain, with its main character a man rendered almost inert with unending horror at his murder of a blameless child, running the event over and over again in his mind, no longer capable of interacting with other humans beyond pulling increasingly pained faces as he drowns in the guilt and unceasing misery of it all. Police showed up at an apartment where Nicole G. and Stephan T. and their daughter and son resided. Paramedics discovered an emaciated 5 year girl. She was rushed to the hospital. Doctors tried to resuscitate her. But the tiny girl named Lea-Sophie had already went to heaven. An autopsy on Lea found that she had died of dehydration, starvation and ulcers. The neglect of Lea had apparently started when her little brother was born in September 2007. Lea received less attention and was already a picky eater. Just a few months later Lea had lost most of her hair and her cheek bones and ribs were prominent. She weighed just 15.4 pounds at the age of 5. Lea had spent her last days curled up, in agony from her ulcers and hunger, unable to move. Dogs and cats were also kept in the house. Lea's parents regularly fed their animals but allowed own daughter to starve. Nicole G. and Stephan T. were arrested and charged with manslaughter. They were sentenced to 11 years and 9 months in prison. It had been suggested that German social services had known of Lea Sophie but no action had been taken. As a result of the mishandling of Lea Sophie, the mayor was removed from office. The people of Germany were shocked by the heart breaking story of tiny Lea. This week really is all about our emotions , our connection to ourselves and others. Our ability to give and receive love to really understand what love is all about is being expanded. The angels around us want us to really go back to a childlike state where we were able to love without expectation to love just to love. Children have an ability to enjoy themselves to laugh and dream no matter what. The angels want you to rise in love with life to love all the people around you no matter whether they reciprocate or not . Love yourself see yourself as blameless and pure and deserving there is still a child within you wanting affection , nurturing and love so love that child and play with that child and your ability to laugh and giggle will surely return .
