I was looking for a way down to the shore of the St. Lawrence river on Park Jean Drapeau off Montreal, to relax. Got down beside this bridge an I saw a Night Heron :) It had a Seagull friend asking for spare fish the whole time At first it was weary of me there and I wouldn't have bugged it.. but it kept coming back cause I guess it loves this fishing spot. So I thought I should just perch at the edge and look out at the flowing water. after many relaxing minutes I noticed someone up on a walking pass under the bridge looking down, it spooked me. So I took it as a lesson from Heron and stretched my neck around. Then I realized the person probably wasn't looking at me, so much as the hoards of fish going up the shore line! and of course the Heron. The fish were so close I could have jumped on them!!! They kind of look like trout they were just over a foot.. I must have watched a hundred go by right in front of me! every now and then a bigger fish goes by you can see and I think it might have been salmon? can't see well in this but the bigger ones are nearly two feet.
