He moved to the Alamo City in 1991, from San Angelo, Texas where he graduated from ASU with a degree in Drama and Speech. After college Billy spent most of his time perfecting his art as a musician, but to truly understand his musical talents you have to look back and see that he has been working for this all his life. Billy was born in Del Rio, Texas and grew up in the small West Texas town of Sanderson. At a very young age, he already had ambitions of being a guitar player and singer. By the age of twelve, he was playing guitar and singing every chance he could. Billy's ambitions started becoming a reality while attending college in San Angelo where Billy joined a local rock band as the lead guitarist. After graduation from college, Billy moved to San Antonio and began working with David Lee Garza y Los Musicales. To date he has been with the band for 10 years and recorded 9 albums. "I've learned more about music with David Lee than anyone else I've worked with in the past... be it Country, Rock or Tejano." In 1997, Billy signed a "publishing deal" with producer Bill Green and has since been perfecting his art as a songwriter, making occasional trips to Nashville and writing with some of Nashville's best known writers. This is the inaugural year of the Heritage, Music and Arts at The Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford. A beautiful version of this great song by underated vocalist Nan Wynn from the 1930's. Nan Wynn (May 8, 1915 - March 21, 1971) was an American big-band singer and actress from Wheeling, West Virginia. She recorded with well-known orchestras, including those of Teddy Wilson, Freddie Rich, Raymond Scott and Hal Kemp. She appeared on the silver screen, often as a nightclub singer, in such films as Million Dollar Baby (1941), Princess O'Rourke (1943) and Intrigue (1947). She had a starring role opposite William Lundigan in the 1941 film A Shot in the Dark (1941). Wynn is perhaps best-known for dubbing Rita Hayworth's singing voice in several films, including My Gal Sal (1942), You Were Never Lovelier (1942) and Cover Girl (1944). She also appeared in Billy Rose's 1944 Broadway musical, The Seven Lively Arts. Wynn married producer, writer, and director Cy Howard, but the marriage ended in divorce. They had one daughter, Jaime.
