I mean, unless you're somebody who doesn't really NEED it, and lives out in the middle of nowhere, off the grid, catching fish with your bare hands and eating them raw (wait- no, that's gross- you cook the fish first. And hopefully, you know how to make homemade tartar sauce, too...), and you don't mind the crazy mosquitos that come along with living in the wilderness, or the off chance you'll accidentally eat some poisonous berries, then yeah. Not having money is not that big of a deal. But when you're trying to get production costs covered for your reality show destined to launch you into the fame and fortune that you need and desire, well... money's a necessity. In addition to a really nice pair of sunglasses- not that they have to be designer or anything, but just really nice ones. Ones that don't scratch just because you drop them once. One other thing about having money? It would mean you don't have to wait tables at the restaurant that your ex-boyfriend decides to take his new girlfriend to. 'Cause THAT is a recipe for disaster- much more so than the gross burger you have to serve another customer who ordered it rare. Seriously- raw meat? At some point or another, you'll date somebody, and they'll dump you. And it will totally be a bummer. Now, the circumstances will vary from person to person- somebody's break-up story may be worse than another's, and may or may not involve the other party hurling your prized possessions over the rails of a boat, never to be returned- and by prized possessions, I mean your passport and your iPod ::insert "grrrrrr", here:: while the other somebody got tagged in a status on Facebook, along with their ex's musing that they'd like to order a pizza and watch "Twilight". Suffice to say, Episode #1 is all about one of those times. One of those inevitable moments in a person's life where they have to decide exactly how they're gonna take the news. And part of discovering who Billie Mackenzie really is, is seeing how SHE takes it. Too bad I can't say that it's without flaws. Episode #10- How to be a Famous Diva: Life is awesome. I mean, it really is. There are things in the world like puppies and kittens and mint chocolate chip ice cream. Not to mention Peanut Butter Tagalongs. I mean, how do the Girl Scouts DO it??? Have they got a nest of Keebler elf prodigies promoted from their forest factories stocked up in their super-secret Girl Scout cookie manufacturing centers?? But I digress. What we need to talk about here is attitude. And having a good attitude is absolutely key when you're trying to machete your way through the tangled proverbial forest of Los Angeles with nothing but your best friend and your ingenuity. Oh yeah! And those guys with cameras that you're paying to pretend to be paparazzi. Billie realizes the importance of attitude- a GOOD attitude, and she's ready to be the diva that she needs to be.
