Thanks to his recordings for the Vee Jay label in the 1950s, Billy Boy Arnold is one of the legendary figures of Chicago Blues. As a very young man, he met and was briefly mentored by one of the most important and influential blues artists of his time, John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson. Williamson's early recording sessions in the late 1930s took place in the Sky Club on top of the Leland Hotel in Aurora, IL. (Many other blues artists recorded there as well, including Big Joe Williams, Robert Nighthawk, Yank Rachell, Henry Townsend and others.) To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Williamson's first recording session, in 1997 Billy Boy was interviewed for a feature on Williamson produced by the Fox Valley Blues Society in Aurora, and after the interview, performed of few of Sonny Boy's songs in the very same room where they were originally recorded 50 years earlier. Here he performs one of his own songs, "Man of Considerable Taste", from his then-new CD "Eldorado Cadillac". Billy Boy is backed by Rockin' Johnny Burgin on guitar.. + Informações
