Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the very first game that I owned when my step-dad bought me a Playstation 1 way back in 1995, literally 15 years ago; Battle Arena Toshinden. Toshinden 1 will forever go down as one of my all-time favorite fighting games that I ever had the pleasure of playing, and for good reason. It was one of the first of its kind; one of the first 3D fighters ever made and the very first fighting game for said system. It had a memorable cast and for a time the game was one of the PS1's choice games. That is until the likes of Tekken and Soul Blade came around... Nevertheless Toshinden had a great run, although I personally say the very first game was the best out of all 4 games (yeah, I personally played all 4 games of the series, even the 4th, which was Japan exclusive). The game played so much smoother in the 1 game, despite the very small graphical and gameplay tweaks the later games had. It just screams retro all over it, and I always wanted to do a visual run of the game, and so here it is. This is not a ROM of the game, either. It looks like they decided to "Tekkenize" the game, thus they changed the gameplay so it was more based on combos than in special skills. The wrong choice they made here was probably that added lots and lots of new (and ugly) characters, which probably alienated the fans of the series. The mediocre graphics and questionable gameplay did the same with the rest. It's not a bad game and the music is as good as in the previous games, but the lack of polish is obvious. For this walkthrough I played with Judgement in Impossible mode so I could fight against the secret boss Naru. After that, I picked up David so I could show you the rest of the bosses of the game.. + Informações

Classic Game Room HD reviews BATTLE ARENA TOSHINDEN REMIX from Takara for the Sega Saturn released in 1996. This 3D style fighting game is sufficiently cheesy with awful writing, voice dialog and music to make it sufficiently hilarious. Who needs a real story and acting in a fighting game?? Not me, give me cheesy and serve it up with a side of bad polygon cleavage. Battle Arena Toshinden is a weapons based fighting game where you can pick from numerous characters and roll around the arena in a 3D style, wow! The graphics are poor, controls are clunky and music is irregular. Other than that, it features some cool artwork and some nice music. The first video contains a simple walkthrough with the Subaru Team and Subaru himself as the character that leads in the ending (each character has its own ending fragment). The second part is like an extras video that contains the minigames and the worthy artwork. The minigames aren't fully played as they were most probably thought for record beating and multiplayer matches. The artwork part of the video begins at 36:58.. + Informações
