Life Science Library's Science Study Break program will wrap up its season on Wednesday with an examination of James Cameron's most recent blockbuster Avatar. Dr. Misha Matz of the School of Biological Sciences will decipher biological fact from fantasy in the world of the film AVATAR, examining real life science behind the science fiction. Pop culture and the academy collide as Science Study Break features relevant faculty and experts from The University of Texas at Austin discussing the reality and fantasy portrayed as fact in science-themed books, television and film. Past presentations have featured presentations on bioterrorism and its treatment in the Fox thriller "24," artificial intelligence gone wild in "2001: A Space Odyssey," the comic realities of Spider-Man and epidemiological models for the proliferation of zombies. This isn't so much as a review, as much as telling people how I began to like the game Halo. A few of my friends have been asking me when I'm going to post a new video, they most likely meant a tutorial, but I haven't thought of one yet. Now, I remember my first time even SEEING Halo, it was at my friend (Aarons) house and his older brothers brought their Xbox with a few games, and their favorite and mine aswell was Halo. The first game I played was Bloodgulch or the snow level (forgot the name; similar to Avalanche on Halo 3's Legendary Map Pack) and they were pwning my arse! Anyways, that was THE first time I've ever played Halo at all, then I had another friend, who only lived down the street from me (who IS rich still) and he played ALOT of Xbox games, and he just so happened to have Halo, lol, and gave me his scratched copy since my mother wouldn't buy any shooting games rated 'M' lol, and the only problem with it was 1 campaign level wouldn't load. Then about 1 month later I (my brothers and I basically) got an Xbox for Christmas, and some games (1 for each of us) I got Sims Bustin' Out, my brother (who's in most of my sketch videos) got TY the Tasmanian Tiger, and my other brother got Rally Point Alpha or something. And it took me a while to set the Xbox up since we didn't have A/V Cable inputs on the TV, but luckily my mom bought the Cable adapter, the only reason it took so long, was that it had to be on channel 3 or 4 XDDDD took me about 30 min by myself, lol .... + Informações

If nothing else, I will at least try to make more music videos with the other 5 songs I made in multimedia class. Though I hope to make more machinima with a story. Music video done for my Intro to Multimedia class. Though we were allowed to change midi files of actual songs to make our own, I decided to make my own song from the music loops provided in GarageBand (Which I really wish I owned now, all the software was at school, except the capture and editing stuff I already had.) by tweaking them a bit and arranging them how I wanted. So if you are familiar with GarageBand the loops will sound somewhat familiar, though a little off. Some I just changed a bit and some I messed with so much I don't remember what they originally sounded like. But I digress, the music was originally made to go with a trailer for my machinima that I will hopefully getting around to making. I was disappointed to discover AFTER I made the whole song that I could not use dialogue in the music video project. On the other hand, this saved me the trouble of thinking of names for the machinima and for its characters. I experimented around one day and thought of things to do in the video in between classes, but my Dad and I did the actual acting in one night, and I edited it in one night, adding the final required effects the next day. To give you some perspective, acting for my "Interpersonal Communications" machinima took 2 days, not including the numerous occasions I had to go back and film .... + Informações
