Big Boy foi um disc-jockey "da pesada". Revolucionou a linguagem radiofônica no fim dos anos 60, transmitiu os lançamentos da música pop internacional simultaneamente com os EUA e Europa e criou o "Baile da Pesada", precursor dos bailes funk no Rio. Morreu aos 33 anos mas, durante os dez em que atuou como porta-voz da música pop deixou sua marca. Na década de 70 Escrevia sobre música nos principais jornais e revistas, exibia na TV Globo os filmclips obtidos em seu constante "garimpo musical" pelo mundo afora, produzia e apresentava três programas na rádio Mundial e coordenava a Rádio Eldorado FM, uma rádio de vanguarda que só tocava Rock. The Big Boy Show conta algumas dessas histórias. Com foco em seu trabalho nas rádios e no Baile da Pesada, relembra para uns e apresenta para outros a criatividade eo dinamismo de um personagem que viveu à frente de seu tempo. Big Boy was a "Heavy" disc-jockey. He revolutionized the radio airwaves in the late 60's in Brazil, broadcasting all the new pop stuff releasing it simultaneously with Europe and USA(which had never happened before in South America). He also created the "Baile da Pesada"(Heavy Ball) that was the seed of brazilian Funk. He died at 33 but despite of that he became a spokesman of an entire generation of pop music fans. In the 70's he wrote about this music in major newspapers and magazines, he also had the "film clips" in Globo TV where he exposed all of his diggings and discoveries from the wolrd of music.
