Despe & Siga - Sempre em pé Versão dos The Specials - Monkey Man **************************************** Sobre Despe e Siga: As primeiras aparições de Luís Varatojo, João San-Payo, Fernando Raposo e Nuno Rafael, como Despe e Siga foram feitas no início da década de 90. Estávamos em 1991 ea banda passava então a usar também o cartão de visita com a marca Despe e Siga, a par do título de Peste & Sida. A ideia era tocar versões, pegar em temas de bandas como os Pogues ou os Madness e cantá-las dentro do mesmo ritmo, mas em português. No entanto, o arranque foi feito de maneira diferente. Luís Varatojo e companhia e agarraram em temas em inglês que costumavam tocar nos ensaios e transpuseram-nos para o palco, e quando o último disco dos Peste via luz do dia, em 1992, já os Despe e Siga davam concertos no bar BBB na Costa da Caparica, onde actuaram regularmente até ao Verão do ano seguinte. Também em 1992, entraram para a formação da banda os reforços João Cardoso (teclas) e Marco Franco (bateria), que um ano depois cedia o lugar a Sérgio. O primeiro álbum, "Despe e Siga", chegou às lojas em 1994, e incluiu no alinhamento versões que a banda costumava tocar em bares, como "Festa" (versão do original dos Pogues, "Fiesta"), "Bué de Baldas" (inspirado em "Baggy Trousers" dos Madness") e "Bule Bule" (versão para "Woolie Buly" já dos tempos dos Peste & Sida). No ano seguinte, a banda participou no disco "Espanta Espíritos", com o tema "Família Virtual", onde colabora o fadista .... + Informações

Adherents are most likely found among the dominant ethnic Bamar (or Burmans), Shan, Rakhine (Arakanese), Mon, Karen, and Chinese who are well integrated into Burmese society. Monks, collectively known as the Sangha, are venerated members of Burmese society. Among many ethnic groups in Myanmar, including the Bamar and Shan, Theravada Buddhism is practiced in conjunction with nat worship, which involves the placation of spirits who can intercede in worldly affairs. With regard to "salvation" in the Buddhist sense, there are three primary paths in Burmese Buddhism: merit-making, vipassana (insight meditation), and the weizza path (an esoteric form of Buddhism that involves the occult). Merit-making is the most common path undertaken by Burmese Buddhists. This path involves the observance of the Five Precepts and accumulation of good merit through charity and good deeds (dana) in order to obtain a favorable rebirth. The vipassana path, which has gained ground since the early 1900s, is a form of insight meditation believed to lead to enlightenment. Biografia O jovem Daniel dos Santos estava predestinado a seguir os passos do pai carpinteiro. Mas ele é também o herdeiro de um sonho, o da sua mãe, a quem ouve cantar lá no fundo da cozinha, melodias de um país onde ele costuma passar as férias de Verão. As suas primeiras canções foram-lhe inspiradas aliás durante passeatas pelos caminhos no campo que ligam Casaria, pequena localidade no centro de Portugal, à aldeia dos seus primos.
