14 Bis é uma banda vocal/instrumental brasileira que surgiu em Minas Gerais criada pelos irmãos Flávio e Cláudio Venturini, Hely Rodrigues, Vermelho e Sérgio Magrão. História O 14 Bis foi criado no final do ano de 1979, por músicos que já se conheciam e alimentavam a ideia de ter uma banda brasileira nos moldes daquelas bandas internacionais que tanto influenciaram e emocionaram seus integrantes como Beatles, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd entre muitas outras. Mas a influência não se resume a música criada fora do Brasil. O "Clube da Esquina" foi para todos do 14 Bis a prova que poderia ser criada no Brasil uma nova Música Brasileira original, popular e ao mesmo tempo sofisticada. Antes da fundação do 14 Bis, era diante desse caldeirão musical que seus futuros integrantes sonhavam em gravar suas canções e atingir o sucesso. Enquanto isso não era possível, trabalhavam cada um junto a um grupo ou artista diferente, sempre buscando o amadurecimento musical e profissional (Flávio e Magrão estavam no "Terço", Hely e Vermelho no "Bendegó" e Cláudio com Lô Borges). Naqueles anos o Brasil ainda em processo de redemocratização era um país onde a formação de uma banda era vista com desconfiança pelas gravadoras. Composed of thin, English-born Stan Laurel (1890--1965) and heavy, American-born Oliver Hardy (1892--1957) they became well known during the late 1920s to the mid-1940s for their work in motion pictures; the team also appeared on stage throughout America and Europe. The two comedians first worked together on the film The Lucky Dog. After a period appearing separately in several short films for the Hal Roach studio during the 1920s, they began appearing in movie shorts together in 1926. Laurel and Hardy officially became a team the following year, and soon became Hal Roach's most lucrative stars. Among their most popular and successful films were the features Sons of the Desert (1933), Way Out West (1937), and Block-Heads (1938) and the shorts Big Business (1929), Liberty (1929), and their Academy Award-winning short, The Music Box (1932). The 68-minute film was released by the Producers Releasing Corporation (PRC), one of the so-called "poverty row" film studios in mid-twentieth century Hollywood. Although made on a small budget with bare sets and straightforward camera work, Detour has gathered much praise through the years and is held in high regard. Al (Tom Neal) is a piano player who sets off hitchhiking his way to California to be with his fiancee. Along the way a convertible driven by Charles Haskell Jr. stops to pick him up. Al is driving while Haskell sleeps when a rainstorm begins and Al pulls over to put up the top. However, Haskell does not wake up and falls out onto the pavement, dead.
