You need a sound system with a lot of power and a great sub (turned up to house shaking level) to get the right effect of this video. I made this for all the people who dreamed of seeing a launch in person but were never able to make the trip themselves (myself included). Using dozens of different video sources and countless audio versions of Shuttle launches I mixed this little clip together to mimic as close an experience to the real thing as I could. I know that the exact sequence of countdown events is somewhat compressed and not time-accurate but I was going more for the 'feel' of a high energy launch experience rather than a technical documentary. Throttle Up and SRB Separation are sounds as might be heard from onboard acoustic transducers picking up resonant vibration in the vehicle's structure. Please take care not to damage your sound equipment during playback. I did not do anything to boost the low frequency roar of the Shuttle during liftoff but the SRB and SSME thrust noise may be taxing to even high quality sub-woofers and speaker cones if played too loud. For those who sit through the last few frames you can catch a glimpse of my home theater system I built a couple of years ago. This was originally intended to be an animation project, but I wanted to get this out already. This is an original production based off of the classic story of the Little Red Riding Hood. My original intention was to basically action up the fight scene and dramatize the story. I think it worked out pretty well. I'm so glad I got to work with Heather (hugcarzy101) and Wes (BeatBlox). They're such great actors, I'm glad I chose them. It was a little bit of a pain, but I'm glad I held on, it turned out to be an epic project. I'll probably finish the animation part one day, but for now, I've got too much schoolwork to deal with. The project that was started months ago and finally finished! There was a lot of waiting and recasting, but everything was settled eventually, and now we're here. I only produced the video this time, I didn't actually do any voice work. Baby Bear was originally going to be played by KingChronn (a bit of an inside joke), but was recasted to XDFailMuffinXD because at the time of the deadline, he couldn't get his lines in due to a physical limitation. Mama Bear was originally going to be played by SweetPoffin, but because of her real life, she had to back out of the project. I scouted Kissy-Sensei (VAA) to help, but she couldn't take the part either. Finally I for the wonderful AegisHikaru to play the part. I'm very glad that all of these people could help out. This will probably become a series, and hopefully I can keep each story as interesting as the next. I'm working with some absolutely wonderful people here, and I'm hoping to meet and work with many more.
