Arthur Prysock - A WORKING MAN'S PRAYER (Christmas) (1966) 3.43 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 6270 exibições NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Verve 10574) Out of New York, this rare single was released for the holiday season in November of 1966. It is an obscure, non-charting disc that was issued only that year as a single and never again. It was pressed in small quantities and when trying to locate one today, they are few and far between. Arthur Prysock who was born in 1929 and died in 1997, had been singing since 1944 but he is probably most recognized by his soulful, baritone voice over the 1980's beer commercial, 'Tonight, let it be Lowenbrau." 'A Working Man's Prayer' was written and originally recorded by Ed Bruce on Wand Records in 1963, this Verve Records version was Mr. Prysock's only Christmas/Holiday recording, and what a powerful and moving record it is; just dripping with emotion.. + Informações |

Arthur Prysock - NO SUN TODAY (1968) 2.43 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 1468 exibições NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Verve 10592-SS) Out of New York, this 1968 release features the velvety, smooth baritone voice of Mr. Arthur Prysock on a tune that was also recorded spendidly by The Vogues and Madeline Bell. This version by Mr. Prysock is interesting in that along with the common monophonic singles manufactured, it was also pressed in a small quantity of stereo singles denoting that with the letters 'SS' after the catalog number. Although he had been singing since the 1940's, perhaps many people remember him most by his crooning voice in the beer commercial, "Tonight, tonight let it be Lowenbrau.". + Informações |
