For some reason, deepastronomy.com went crazy with traffic over searches for the Apophis asteroid. This prompted me to make this video since it had been several years since I had written the article and wanted to provide a little more updated information. Not much has been learned since because of where Apophis is, which is very close to the Sun with respect to us. Later this year marks the time when we will begin to get a good enough angle to be able to take more precise observations. What we really want to know is will Apophis go through the 'Keyhole'? If so, then we may be in for a very bad day on Sunday, April 13th 2036. Back in December 2004 there were predictions that Apophis has a 2.9% chance of hitting earth in 2029. since then we have refined projections for Apophis and it won't be hitting earth in 2029. However there was a possibility that Apophis would pass through a gravitational keyhole which would then re-align it for impact with earth in 2036. However, as more time passes we gather more data and of october 2009 the probability that Apophis would hit that keyhole was down to 1 in 250000. This is not to say that asteroids don't pose a serious threat to the survival of humanity. but in reality our best chance for survival it to become a multi-planetary species so if something does happen to one planet, we don't all go down with it. Den Asteroiden mit hilfe der Gravitation ablenken (Die Flugbahn des Asteroiden durch anziehung eines grossen Objektes verändern) Punkt 1 kann ausgeschlossen werden, da wir vielleicht dann mehrere Asteroiden am Hals haben. Punkt 2 hört sich für mich am logischsten und am Besten an. Punkt 3 hört sich nach Sci-Fi an ist aber möglich aber sehr schwierig, so wie ich das sehe. I explain the connection between a possible future event involving the Asteroid Apophis and end times prophecy as it is found in scripture. The following are the major points that I bring up in the video. 1) The origional name given it began with the number 999, which is an inverted 666. 2) The name Apophis means snake, serpent, or dragon, which is the form satan is sometimes said to take in scripture. 3) Apophis was the name of one of the evil Pharoahs who ruled over Egypt during the period the Hebrews were enslaved. The Pharoahs during that time period were foreigners known as Hyksos. 4) The asteroid was discovered at the Kitt Peak Observatory. Now Kittim is the name used to describe the evil empire that battles the army of light described in the War Scroll that is part of the Dead Sea Scrolls. 5) The 7yr period that earth would have to prepare for the 2036 crash may be the catalyst that brings about the 7 yr peace agreement spoken about (prophecied) in scripture that is than broken half way through.
