Project I did for my Global Issues class. I had to pick one of the 30 rights in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Mine was pretty much about poverty, made it about the Philippines. I was supposed to put narration, but I thought it would ruin it. :/ Lets see... We had to get permission to use music from the owner and I got In The Darkness by Apollo's Child. I give him a milllllion thanks because without the song, the video wouldn't have been as good. My video was shown in class, then mine was one of the six chosen out of roughly 60 videos to be shown in the schola for non-academy students to watch. And to top it off, my teacher asked if he could use it in a teacher training thing he has over the summer. I was actually very nervous both times it was shown. Im surprised it got all that positive feed back. *_* Anyways, this is being uploaded for Sean so he can see the finished project, and I cannot thank him enough for letting me use his song. 11yr old Lianah was invited to sing at the 4th annual "Simbang Gabi Sa Katedral" at the historic Cathedral of St. Patrick in New York City on 12/4/10. A Simbang Gabi is a nine day Roman Catholic ritual novena performed in the Philippines over 9 days starting on December 16 and ending on December 24. Simbang Gabi, which translates to mass at dawn is usually performed as early as 4 or 5 in the morning. The last day of the Simbang Gabi, which is Christmas Eve, is called Misa de Gallo, which literally translates to "Rooster's Mass". She sang "Note to God" during the Communion so please excuse the excess noise in the video.
