Anything Box is an electronic/synthpop musical group originally from Paterson, New Jersey and now based in Orange County, CA. They are best known for their 1989 Single "Living In Oblivion". The band is one of primary bands which carried electronic music's transition from the late 1980's into the 1990's and beyond. With a current lineup consisting of Claude Strilio, Dania Morales and Paul Rijnders, the past members have included Gary Strilio and Dave South. The band is noted for its melodic, synth-driven dance beats from its early years as well as its fusion of electronics and guitars which is its current musical focus. The band's songs, lyrics, as well as Claude's vocals have been widely regarded in the electronic music community as some of the finest. The band also receives praise for its album artwork which ranges from oil paintings to electronic paintings which are all works of Claude Strilio. Anything Box, (also known as Abox by its loyal fan-base), has released several albums, EPs and singles and continues to perform their energetic live shows around the world. The band's name comes from the title of a book of short stories by Zenna Henderson, The Anything Box.[1] In the title story, a young girl imagines the world as she would have it, apparently by staring at an empty space between her hands. The guy who submitted this footage had five friends with cameras at the show, and the footage was stitched together from all the angles that were shot. The audio was restored as much as we could, and it is quite good. I love the girl close-up towards the end. It always brings a smile to my face... This was in Mexico, where shortly after this song, a riot broke out and we had to run for our lives as fans chased us. Dania's mom was with us, too. Heaven60 is a song I wrote about the two absolutes in life: being born and dying. What do we do with the uncertain in-between? Contemplate or experience it? It was also a goodbye to my father who died of Cancer. Aside from that, the meaning is up for debate, which is what songs should do. This was recorded in El Paso at Club 101. The footage was badly damaged, and so I had to re-create the track, using both the vocals from the tape and the original song when the drop outs happen. "This version of 'Every Single Day' is the Remix that I did back in 1994. The video was directed by Greg Baird, a college student that Dania knew. We sometimes look at this one as a failed attempt to capture the 'Pop Rave' scene that was in Los Angeles. Although we were not part of it officially, we were always invited to play these events. At what was supposed to be the largest, the cops showed up and arrested everyone. Our equipment was thought stolen, but it was later given back to us by a fan that had managed to keep it from the police. Talk about good luck, huh? This was an experiment with a film on suicide. As I watched it for the first time, the song came into my mind, and it seems as though it was meant to be. The song is from the album, "The Universe Is Expanding". This is not a single by any means, but it seems that the song takes on a new meaning when you see this guy's suffering. And the doctors seem so clinical, so 1950s... Original film was 25 minutes..... + Informações
