Released on Nightmare records worldwide Sept 7th, 201, Distributed by Sony/Red. Excellence in futuristic, yet expressive metal is one way to describe this emotive collection of songs - the 5th release from this veteran progressive act. The vocals are now competently handled by their long time bassist Henrik Fevre, who floats effortlessly back and forth between metal urgency and an almost "pop"- like lushness that is rarely exhibited in this genre. The song selection is diverse to be sure, a nice diversion from the litany of bands that just keep hammering the listener with heavy chops. And while technically impressive, melody is the key here - these songs really enjoyable on every level, the hooks just keep digging in with each listen. In fact, most of the pleasure here comes on repeated play, each spin better than the last. These guys actually have a very original style/sound going here, which at times hints at Conception (especially "World In A Dome") which is major plus. In the end, this may just be one of the best progressive releases this year, and maybe the band's best ever.
