Draco Aerius is a band of black metal, from New Zeland-was formed in 2002 and disbanded in 2005, reforming in 2007. In 2004 they recorded the CD "Serve Chaos", originally released in February 2005, and re-released with rare tracks and a live video on 11 July 2008. The last show prior to disbanding was in 2005 at the first Hellington music festival, and the first show since reforming was on the 11th of July 2008, supporting Anno Domini Mortus and Inverno. Three high school teachers, Ed, Doris, and Carl, are driving through rural Southern California on their way to a Dodgers game in Los Angeles. The group's Chevrolet Belair has some trouble and they are forced to pull off to a gas station/junkyard on the side of the road. After examining the vehicle Ed concludes that the fuel pump will need to be replaced. Doris and Carl search the junkyard looking for the owner, but they cannot find him. In the residence Carl finds a warm meal with a table set for four, but oddly enough nobody is in the house. The three realize this is very peculiar and start to seriously worry about their situation. Mind of Obsession has been my most ambitious short films project to date, filmed in Spring and Summer, 2008. It is a short youtube spoof fictional film running 30 minutes which I produced for my HNC Graded Unit which I got the idea for making after watching the original classic movie online, an Ealing Film, Kind Hearts and Coronets. A moment of inspiration led to months of hard work to produce the final college movie from Willow Creek Pictures. Looking back at this college film, it's full of mistakes, particularly continuity and problems with the spoof film trying to be a period which is no easy task. I look back though on the humrous movies spoof project as being a great learning experience for learning how to make a short film spoof online. I've not been involved with anything as complicated as this project since so it's at the forefront of my mind in terms of being a useful experience to apply to future projects. The spoofs filming used some impressive locations around Edinburgh which included the beautiful setting of the village of Duddingston in Scotland where the Church scenes were filmed at Duddingston Kirk. We were really lucky to film here for free after the kind gesture made by the Minister, James Jack who remains there today.
