From This Morning 12/1/10 Singer Leddra Chapman is one of the most hotly tipped music stars of 2010! Leddra's track Single was released in late 2009. It made its mark on the music scene with the acoustic, catchy folk sound that seems set to propel Leddra to musical superstardom. Leddra's debut album Telling Tales was also released in November last year, and the ten tracks caught the attention of music experts and fans alike, with even industry bible Music Week sitting up and taking notice, describing the talented singer as "filling a similar space to early Alanis Morrisette and Joni Mitchell", high praise indeed from the influential publication. Leddra hails from Brentwood in Essex and is a student at the London College of Music, where she has learnt her craft and cut her performing teeth. Leddra's first foray into music started at the age of 12 when she picked up one of her dad's acoustic guitars and proceeded to write her first song, and she's never looked back. The ambitious youngster divided her time between finishing school, writing songs, and learning how to produce demos of her songs in the small home-studio her dad had built in the garage. She was subsequently invited to perform at a number of small but prolific gigs, which led to her recording her album with musician and producer Peter-John Vettese, who has previously collaborated with big names Heather Small, Tina Arena and Jethro Tull.. + Informações

Leddra Chapman recently finished her second full tour of the UK, which was quickly followed by sold out shows in London, York, Edinburgh, Inverness, Aberdeen and a homecoming show at the High Barn in the Essex countryside. With a rapidly filling summer schedule of shows in both the UK and across Europe (as part of her International Ambassadorship for Quiksilver Women's clothing), Leddra is now poised to release the song to kick off British summertime. This new single release, appropriately entitled 'Summer Song' is the next single to be taken from Leddra's debut album 'Telling Tales', which was released to critical acclaim in late 2009. This new chapter in the young Brit's blossoming career comes after years of hard work on Leddra's part. Writing her first song aged 12 and excited that she could capture thought-provoking emotion in her lyrics and melodies, Leddra continued to write songs and soon started playing gigs (wherever age-restrictions permitted).
