A beautiful poem recited by Sheikh Akraf masterfully articulating the remorse and anguish one feels when he is unable to fulfill his duty towards Allah due to unending worldly desires, as Imam 'Ali [as] significantly states, "Love of the world and love of Allah cannot be contained in the same heart", we must return to ourselves time and time again and realise that attachments and desires to the materialistic world only brings us humiliation in the eyes of Allah as it corrupts the inner sanctuary and kingdom of the soul and brings about distance and veils between us and our Lord. A solo performance by Joe Frazier of the Mitchell Trio (re-named from the earlier "Chad Mitchell Trio" to try to emphasize the collaborative nature of the group) of Tom Paxton's best-known song. Frazier brought a trained and smooth baritone as well as a developed political consciousness to the group, and the latter influence helped to shape the artistic outlook of John Denver, who eventually replaced Mitchell as the tenor voice in the trio. Of the scores of cover versions of Paxton's classic of a failing relationship, none communicates the anguish of the moment and the quiet desperation of loss quite like Frazier does here.
