I do not own anything, I just put things together. Well, I do not know if I correctly understood meaning of the song, but I wanted to express the well known story (at least for every delena fan :) ) : Damon and Elena are in love (it is obvious). But they know that they should not love each other. Damon lives in darkness and may bring her down too, of which are they both afraid of. But on the other side, Elena´s world is full of light and it can beat the darkness. Even though Damon is still trying to hide in the shadows, cause he knows, that there is not big chance to be together, her light has changed him. Living in darkness may have advantages, but who would like to live without a light forever, when someone´s light is calling you home?
