Andrew Jackson Jihad is king of putting on a great acoustic show. The fact that Sean Bonnette plays his guitar with such tenacity simply with his fingernails and the fact that Ben Garrett can play standup bass better than Flea could dream of makes this band a shooin to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in the future. As usual, the music here is about the lyrics. The chord progressions are familiar copies of folk songs and punk tunes. Hell, some of the songs even sound similar to tracks from the band's previous album. Still, the lyrics here throw me into fits of laughter and depression. These tracks make me swing back and forth like an emotional pendulum. That's the show of a great Andrew Jackson Jihad album. Well, to me, anyway. What do you think of this album? Love it? hate it? Why? They started out with "Bad, Bad Things" and bled into "People II", so I decided to keep 'em together and let you see what I saw. If you look closely, Sean winks at me at the beginning, because prior to recording, I requested "Bad, Bad Things". I rule. Anyway, from Phoenix, Arizona, Andrew Jackson Jihad traveled to Louisville, KY to play at Skull Alley on the 2009 Summer of Pain tour. Lots of proper nouns in that sentence. Anyway, it was on August 14th, 2k9. Rock awn. Oh, and there's a hint of my idiocy at the end of the video, as I forgot to turn the camera off.. + Informações
