In her first two matches on the WTA tour, Capra beat Karolina Sprem and Arane Rezai, the 18th seed. Sharapova seems to be getting over the shoulder injury that has plagued her for the better part of a year. Last year Sharapova lost to another American newcomer, Melanie Oudin, partially because her serve let her down to the tune of about 20 double faults. Winning this match is going to be a tough ask for Capra. Sharapova is serving much, much better than last year and she's hitting well. Production of the show moved from Philadelphia to the ABC Television Center in Los Angeles on February 8, 1964, which coincidently was the same weekend that WFIL-TV moved from their 46th & Market location to their then-new facility located on City Line Avenue. Color broadcasts began for good on September 9, 1967. The typical production schedule consisted of videotaping three shows on a Saturday and three shows on a Sunday, every six weeks. The shows were usually produced in either Stage 54 or Stage 55 at ABC Television Center. For a brief time in 1973, Bandstand alternated its time slot with Soul Unlimited, a show featuring soul music that was hosted by Buster Jones. Soul Unlimited was not well-received among its target audience of African-Americans, ostensibly due to its being created by a white man (Clark), and because of its alleged usage of deliberately racial overtones despite this fact. Don Cornelius, the creator and host of Soul Train, entered into a dispute with Clark over this upstart program, and it was canceled within a few weeks. Mary's Danish - Leave It Alone (Music Video). Official music video for "Leave It Alone" by Mary's Danish from the 1992 album "American Standard". Mary's Danish's "Don't Crash the Car Tonight" became a regional hit in Southern California before the band was even signed, when local 'Alternative Rock' station KROQ began playing the song off their demo tape. The band eventually made a deal with indie label Chameleon, who released their debut album "there goes the wondertruck..." in 1989 which garnered some decent reviews from Rolling Stone and other national publications, many proclaiming Mary's Danish as the 'Next Big Thing' . In 1990, Chameleon released an EP called "Experience", which was recorded live at the Ventura Theatre in Southern California with a studio recording of live staple "Foxey Lady" tagged on. (The show was also released on home video under the title "Mary's Danish Live".) Unsatisfied with the distribution Chameleon was providing at the time, the band left the label in late 1990 to sign with upstart Morgan Creek Records, an offshoot of the film company. This delayed the already-recorded Dave Jerden produced second album, "Circa", by over a year with it finally seeing the light of day in Summer 1991. A third and final album was released in 1992 called "American Standard". After being screwed over by Morgan Creek, the band disbanded in 1993 as a way to escape their contract. The band was a popular hard rock attraction touring the competitive eastern seaboard club circuit from 1975 through 1981. They took a step out of the scene for six years and reunited again in 1987. They were going to name the band BOLT, but at the time, two word names were popular; such as Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc. Therefore they searched for a tough sounding name and liked the sound of Jesse, similar to Jesse James who was known as an American gunslinger.
