Jamais deux sans trois, comme le veut l'expression. Cette session, on en rêvait depuis les deux interviews qu'Amanda Palmer nous avait accordées l'an dernier. C'était l'évidence même : cette ancienne artiste des rues, qui jouait autrefois les statues vivantes à Boston en robe de mariée, est à l'aise dans tous les décors et toutes les circonstances. Elle trimballe partout avec elle son petit « cabaret punk », son univers déjanté et bariolé. Quelques heures avant son concert du Divan du Monde, on s'installe au balcon pour tester réglages et lumières en attendant son arrivée. Elle nous rejoint sans se presser, accorde son ukulélé pendant que la salle se prépare pour la balance, et puis elle se lâche. Le temps est compté mais l'instant sera dense. Elle nous offrira deux magnifiques reprises : l'une de Cure, dans l'exubérance, l'autre de Radiohead, dans l'émotion. Tout le personnage est contenu dans ces deux extrêmes. S'instaure un dialogue avec la caméra qu'elle fixe avec une intimidante franchise et balade au gré de ses mouvements. Amanda est une tornade : il suffit de la suivre et de capturer le moment. Sa voix et son incroyable énergie font le reste. Elle a ça dans le sang, dans les tripes, et on ne se lasse jamais de la laisser nous éblouir.
