Combining "Strange Brew" by Cream and "Creeque Alley" by the Mamas & the Papas, I was able to create a 12-bar blues story on how the Mamas & the Papas met. I really experiment with effect in this video. Also, I had to change the pitch of "Strange Brew" to match CA, so Eric Clapton's voice might be kind of squeaky. Also, there's a segment at the end of this video that explains how Eric Clapton copied Albert King's solo on his song "Crosscut Saw" on "Strange Brew". + Informações

This is avideo of one of my demos. I thought i'd edit together clips from here and there into videos to go along with some of my demos, rather than just the sound. Since people often have a limited attention span, thus a video may lure them into listening for longer. The track is BORN UNDER A BAD SIGN written by Booker T. Jones and William Bell and originally performed by Albert King and then Cream and also Jimi Hendrix. Kind of based more on the Hendrix version, which was an instrumental. King's version was full of mojo and Cream's version was a little more rockin'. I tuned down 1/2 step and played in the D position to facilitate some of the first finger bends. I added a second guitar and also added a bass track. On the original version, the bass and second guitar played played parts that were very close to unison. The original version of this song was in C#. Albert tuned down 1 1/2 steps so he was actually playing in the E position. I had always wondered how he did such incredible bends without snapping a string. Thanks to You Tube I was able to see video of him playing this song and others. ALBERT KING - KING OF THE BLUES GUITAR (born Albert Nelson). April 25th, 1923 - December 21st, 1992. Birthplace: Indianola, Mississippi. Bluesman Albert King was one of the premier electric guitar stylists of the post-World War II period. By playing left-handed and holding his guitar upside-down (with the strings set for a right-handed player), and by concentrating on tone and intensity more than flash, King fashioned over his long career, a sound that was both distinctive and highly influential. He was a master of the single-string solo and could bend strings to produce a particularly tormented blues sound that set his style apart from his contemporaries. In Session is a blues album by Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan recorded live for television on December 6, 1983, at CHCH-TV studios in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and released as an album on August 17, 1999. The album was released on DVD on September 28, 2010 The first of two collaborations captured for television . It was recorded for one of a series of live television sessions recording the performances of various artists. The TV show was called In Session. An interesting aspect of the album is that it includes short audio segments of the banter between the artists between songs (remembering that this was being broadcast as well). Initially King wasn't going to do the show as he didn't know who Stevie Ray Vaughan was. He didn't realize that Stevie Ray Vaughan was actually 'little Stevie', the 'skinny kid' that he let sit in when King played in Texas. On one of the conversation tracks, King actually talks about this. When he realized who Stevie Ray Vaughan was, he agreed to play. The album's material is mostly King's concert line up, with one Stevie Ray Vaughan cut, "Pride and Joy." King is 'driving' the session, but he purposefully features Vaughan on a number of the songs. I have played the bass guitar for about a month and haven't practiced as much as I wanted to so it isnt exactly perfect but its an attempt.
