Ahoora is an unique Iranian band. Track taken from the 2007´s album "All In Blood With You" Taken from the official websites: Ahoora, was formed late 2001, in Tehran, the capital of an extreme Islamic country called Iran. The influences were shown in the early covers: Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Black Sabbath ...etc.The band recorded its first demo tape back in 2004, due to gain permission from the culture ministry of Islamic Iran: breaking the broken! In May 2005 Ahoora played its first official gig, the first metal performance ever with vocals parts in Iran. The band played two sets, First: Iced Earth songs & the 2nd set included four Ahoora songs that later were heard on the debut album. Ahoora was forced to cancel the second night though. February 13th 2006, saw the self titled debut album came out as a forbidden release in Iran. Although the release can be analyzed as a unique event in Iranian music scene, the foreign feedbacks have always been stronger. Ultimate Metal called it "hard-hitting, true heavy metal , while The Metal Observer wrote They are walking a very fine line, very fit on their instruments". The band experienced some international critic and also was invited to play at Evergreen Music Festival in Washington DC; missed because of the strict exit laws. The late concert in support of the first release was cancelled by the authorities in September 2006, left no chance to perform the whole length album for the fans and made Ahoora a completely .... + Informações

Towards the end of 2007, when our fears of a military conflict between the US and Iran were at their peak, Make Films Not War resolved to use images and stories to continue building a cultural bride between our two societies, even as our governments ratcheted up their language of war. We made contact with award-winning Iranian filmmaker Bahman Ghobadi (HALF MOON, TURTLES CAN FLY, A TIME FOR DRUNKEN HORSES), and discussed how best to go about this. We decided to commission five up-and-coming Iranian filmmakers, two of them as young as 10 and 13, to produce a series of short videos on the themes of war and peace. Ghobadi's company, Tehran based MIJ Productions, co-produced. About 'Dreamhouse' Ten-year old filmmaker Ahoora Zamanpira's story is charming in its simplicity. A group of kids are fastidiously building a house out of mud and nearby sticks and scraps of fabric. The meticulous detail they apply to their project is typical of the precocious creativity that is a hallmark of a healthy childhood.
