It can be encountered by returning to Zanarkand ruins, in the same spot where the party fought Yunalesca. Strategy: This is probably the most difficult Dark Aeon to defeat. Every character should have Stoneproof/Ribbon, as well as Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, and Auto-Phoenix. After every five player's attacks (counterattacks do not count), Dark Bahamut counters with Impulse, which can petrify the characters who aren't protected against it and will shatter the character if the attack KO a character. Its Overdrive, the famous Mega Flare, is deadly, unless the party has over 40000 HP. The only way to survive it is to summon an Aeon or cast Auto-Life on everyone. All characters should have Strength, Defense, Magic Defense, Accuracy, and Agility at 255. Luck should be at 80 or higher. Strategy: Although Dark Anima has 8000000 HP, it is not hard to defeat. Strength, Defense, Agility, and Accuracy at 255, as well as Luck at 80 are needed. Every character should have Stoneproof/Ribbon,to avoid being ejected from battle by Anima's physical attack. The enemy can also inflict Poison, Zombie, and Curse status by attacking, but they are not that dangerous. The Pain attack kills one character instantly, so Auto-Phoenix is really useful. Stoneproof/Ribbon, Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, and Auto-Phoenix are also very useful, if not necessary. Dark Yojimbo always ambushes you in the first battle, even if you have Initiative, but you can still get a turn before him by using First Strike weapons. Kozuka and Daigoro target only one character, so they are not very dangerous, but Wakizashi deals about 25000 to the entire party. Well, I'm into RPG'S again, so I decided to play my favorite Final Fantasy once more, since I'm too lazy to do a full walkthrough, I'll be doing the dark aeons fights, enjoy :) Dark Valefor is an optional boss in the International and PAL versions of Final Fantasy X. She guards the entrance to Besaid Village when the party returns there after obtaining an Airship. Strategy: Dark Valefor uses physical attacks, as well as Valefor's special attacks: Sonic Wings, Energy Ray, and Energy Blast (as Overdrive), which hit the entire party. Energy Blast can deal massive damage, so it is best to use Auto-Life or call an Aeon, when Dark Valefor's Overdrive gauge is full. The enemy has low HP, so she can be defeated quickly, before she causes any trouble. However, the party should have high Agility and Luck. Very high Strength and Defense are also very useful. Her Overdrive gauge also charges up very quickly so your speed needs to be maxed out before it attacks. If your Strength is high enough, Wakka can take Dark Valefor out with a single Attack Reels. I am completely indebted to _Mace_ for writing a fantastic and thorough strategy guide for this challenge, without which I probably wouldn't have had a hope in hell. I initially cut the video like this as a preliminary to editing it properly, but then I decided I actually really liked Otherworld at 280bpm. Well, this is it! BFA downed first try, kind of anticlimactic really. This is a YONS(OSG), meaning: I can only use Yuna (all other characters must escape or, where not possible, remain passive by changing weapons) except where forced not to. I cannot summon except in the two points I'm forced to. I cannot activate any nodes outside of Yuna's portion of the sphere grid. This fight is pretty much a tank and spank. Stoneproof negates Jecht Beam, Auto-Potion negates all of his overdrives with at least 6k HP, the Zombiestrike and counter abilities aren't necessary but negate the Pagodas a significant proportion of turns and there's not a lot better available. All you're doing here is spamming Holy and making sure you're full HP at all times, which isn't difficult with Auto-Potion and a dozen or so X-potions. I do a few times opt for Curaga instead of X-potions despite Curaga being a lot slower, because I really wasn't sure I had enough potions. Wakka knows how to handle balls. I know, it's cheap and all that stuff but hey, 2 blitzball leagues and 2 tournaments aren't exactly fun or short. It's not like they would be impossible without, it just wouldn't fit on 1 video. There is no reason to level up defence as Auto-Phoenix takes care of anything, which makes HP also worthless. All of the Dark Aeons are possible without much defence or HP. No Penance btw, as I've done that guy once already and he is boring, long and requires a solid strategy and near maxed stats.. + Informações

We fight the battle against Seymour. The battle starts with Seymour and two guado guards. The guados will protect Seymour from physical attacks, and Seymour also casts Shell on himself to reduce magic damage, and to top it off if you bring out your aeons he will get several more turns and cast multiple magic spells, rapidly killing them. So unless your aeon already has an overdrive built up don't bring them out. Seymour can use powerful magic, but the guados are just an annoyance. The guados use auto-potion which heals them 1000. To stop this steal their hi-potions with Rikku, then just weaken Seymour until he summons Anima. To beat Anima just use your new aeon(Shiva) and let Anima attack you so she will build up her overdrive. Then unleash the overdrive for 9999 damage, and when her hp gets low use Blizzara on yourself to heal. After you defeat Anima Seymour will use two spells in a row which can be deadly. Luckily he only has 6000 hp, so just attack him and heal when needed. After the battle it looks like we're in big trouble.. + Informações

The reason for buffing up Kimahri as well as Auron is because if Triumphant Grasp hits Auron, you will be in serious trouble without a backup tank. Though you should always try to switch out Auron before BFA can use Triumphant Grasp, you don't always have a chance to. However, it should be noted that on top of Kimahri not being as reliable a tank as Auron (he can't survive without defending on top of all the buffs), due to a glitch of sorts, he won't always be able to revive both ko'd characters, which could lead to a lot of problems. According to my theory, this glitch involves the fact that a character cannot revive two ko'd characters if they are both a higher rank than them, and will instead only revive the lower ranking character. The rankings, from highest to lowest, go like this: Tidus, Yuna, Auron, Kimahri, Wakka, Lulu, and Rikku. Usually, your three main characters are Yuna, Auron, and Rikku. So here we are, now we have the last of the Aeons to battle. Only Anima, Yojimbo and the Magus Sisters are left to deal with. I've dubbed these Aeons as the optional Aeons because a sidequest must be done to acquire each of them. Same process and strategy exists for this battle as well, just inflict damage on the Aeons and with the party in constant Auto-Life status, it's impossible to die. A simple Haste can be used if you're having trouble defeating the Aeons. Once all the Aeons have been vanquished, now it's time to battle Yu Yevon itself. Same strategy applies as the Aeons. Once the battle is over, I stop the recording, as I won't have enough space for the ending, and it can be seen elsewhere on YouTube with better quality.
