Observation: In the middle of all the imagery in the book of Revelation here is a strong, helpful, practical nugget of truth. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He is the one who condemns. He has also been cast down dethroned from power. Now he is overcome by the blood of the Lamb the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and the word of our testimony, what we as believers have to say about his fall from power. The blood of the Lamb has defeated Satan, something we could never do on our own. But we have to add the word of our agreement, our testimony, that Jesus is Lord and Satan is overcome in our lives. Application: It is comforting to know that the accusing voices that try to defeat and discourage me do not come from God. Satan has been uncovered as the accuser of the brethren. Satan has also been thrown down and conquered by what Jesus has done. Jesus blood was the sacrifice that sealed the deal on the devil. Now we have something to say about that blood and Satans demise.
