This is a very rare trailer to the film "Absurd", which was a sort-of follow up to the film "Anthropophagus the Beast" by Joe D'Amato (real name Aristide Massaccesi) and starring Italian B-movie regular George Eastman. This is the original UK trailer, which was taken from an old trailer compilation tape I had kicking around. The film is very hard to get hold of these days in its uncut form and was actually banned for a number of years in the UK as a "Video Nasty". This was done for a 3 part philosophy ISU. Albert Camus was a philosopher and author who is often placed under the philosophical umbrella of existentialism. He is a firm believer and advocate of absurdism which is the belief that any human attempt to find some sort of meaning in life completely fails because no such meaning exists. In The Myth of Sisyphus, Camus expressed his idea of discovering the absurd. He talks about the meaningless machine-like tasks that people do every day as they veer closer and closer to the end (death). He also talks about the concequences of discovering the absurd which is basically the time when you stop your routine-like actions and think "why".
