A drive through the Perthshire countryside, travelling from Harrietfield (north west of Perth) to the Fortingall Yew. The journey begins on the B8063, passing through Glen Almond; turning north onto the A822 through Amulree then taking the left fork onto the A826, stopping at Aberfeldy. The Birks of Aberfeldy inspired Robert Burns in 1787 to write the song of the same name. One of the verses: "The braes ascend like lofty wa's, The foaming stream deep-roarin' fa's O'erhung wi' fragrant spreading shaws The birks of Aberfeldy" The main waterfall is the Falls of Moness, but there are many other smaller waterfalls on this pleasant walk in this steep sided wooded glen.
