Freddy Freeman's new video for his song Free Man. From the album "Break The Silence" [There are more than a couple of flaws in this video and after struggling to get it perfect, I decided to let it go because the video, like I say of myself in the lyrics, is perfect in it's imperfection !! ] It has been quite a journey. I am proud of this video and I think it captures the essence of the song and of what my music and Bearapalooza have been all about !! The footage contained in the video is from various Bearapalooza concert performances going back to 2005 ! Thanks to Charles K. One night while skimming a TV Guide, Cyndi Lauper noticed a 1979 Malcom McDowell movie about time travel called "Time After Time". She told Rob Hyman from The Hooters, that she found the title for their new song. Rob, sitting at the piano at the time, practically came up with the music right then to what would eventually become the songs' chorus and hook. Bismarck, ND ? This past weekend's action-packed games at the McDowell Activity center (MAC) are an example of why Marauders basketball has become the hottest sports ticket in town. Rachel Zillmer proved unstoppable in the paint and the Marauders dominated the boards in a 78-61 University of Mary women's basketball win over St. Cloud State University in Northern Sun conference action in front of another full house. Zillmer scored 22 points and U-Mary held a 43-21 rebounding advantage over SCSU. The Northern Sun leader in field goal percentage the past two seasons, Zillmer will continue to hold that crown after making 7-of-8 shots from the field. The junior forward also made 8-of-11 free throws and added seven rebounds and two steals. Zillmer worked primarily in the paint, where the Marauders outscored the Huskies 42-18. Abby Bratlien keyed the Marauders rebounding efforts by snaring a game-high 10 boards. She added 12 points to record her first double double of the season. Shaunna Knife added 11 points, the third straight game the freshman has reached double figures. Laura Petersen had nine points and Cassandra Kelsh eight for U-Mary. Heres Bottleneck Bill from Eastbourne Sussex England now living in South east London "The Most Downhome Sound Around" as he headlines himself playing his version of the country blues "Hot Dog Blues" first recorded by the legendary Mississsippi Delta Bluesman Big Joe Williams. Bill like myself is a massive fan of the late great and one and only Big Joe Williams will admit he nor anybody can realy capture Big Joe's unique sound and style,but I hope you may agree he does produce a sound remiscent of this great long departed Mississippi Delta bluesman. Bill has been playing country blues since the 1960's and actualy played on the same bill as one of his idols Son House at the 100 Club in the early 1970's.He was a regular down at Bunjies Folk Cellar the celebrated and now defunct acoustic music open mike venue in Central London during the early 1970's ,and recorded some tracks for the Sonet record label which were never issued.In recent years Bill a retired library porter has confined his public performances to the once a year even the "Abbey Mills Blues Festival" which usualy takes place not far from his home in Merton Abbey Mills Southwest London over the August Bank Holiday.I first met Bill in 1997 and since then he has been the most prolific of all the musicians I have recorded for my archive and he has performed several hundred country blues songs for my archive in over a dozen long amazing recording sessions.
