Designers Bloopers has always been one of my favorite furniture stores and over the years I showed you their deals and bargains on the news and now I am proud to have them on my Best Buys TV Show. Designers Bloopers sells custom furniture with goofs, mistakes, errors -- usually made by the designer or the factory. For example, the shade of color on a sofa might be wrong, or a sofa that was supposed to be eight feet long was made only seven and a half feet long. Or, you might find a dining table that was supposed to seat 12, but the factory made it large enough to only seat ten. My favorite bloopers include sofas with the colors that were reversed-- instead of a gold sofa with brown pillows, the sofa was made in brown with gold pillows. And when you get a blooper or goof like that, the designer has to "eat the loss," and that means the furniture goes to Designers Bloopers for liquidation at deeply discounted prices. You can easily save fifty percent off or more on fine custom furniture only because there was a minor error in the design. Oh, it's a minor error to you and me, but to the client it was a disaster! The inventory changes all the time, because goofs are made all the time. And for the most part you are getting one-of-a-kind custom pieces here. Fact is, when you buy a blooper, it's unlikely anyone else in the world has the the same thing. You will also find factory samples and canceled orders, and some overproduction.
