Rin (the girl)= She is a terminally sick girl who lives at a hospital next to the concentration camp. Her father is a Nazi officer. Story: Len and Rin, two young kids living side by side but divided by the metal barbed wire. They communicate by flying paper plane letters to each other, and they're both happy despite their situation (Len in the concetration camp and Rin suffering from terminal disease) One day, Rin's father finds her reading the paper plane letter, and he becomes enraged when he finds out it's from a Jewish boy. He tells her to never see him again, and Rin becomes confused. A few days after that, she discovers her symptoms are getting worse, and she can hardly walk anymore. Because she doesn't want Len to worry about her, she changes her clothes again into civilian clothes and goes out to meet him one last time.
