Hartbeat - Moving images (1 of 3) 9.72 min. | 4.6363635 avaliação | 4262 exibições Featuring Tony Hart and Margot Wilson. Part 1: youtube.com Part 2: youtube.com Part 3: youtube.com Tony makes an animated cartoon face, using sliding strips of card to move the eyes and mouth. Margot demonstrates an old "What The Butler Saw" mutoscope, lent to Hartbeat by the Penny Pier Arcade at Wookey Hole Caves in Somerset. She then visits Alison Sherlock, an animator in the BBC graphics department, who explains how a computer-controlled rostrum camera is used to create the animations for Hartbeat. Tony demonstrates the principles of anthropomorphism, by drawing a cartoon cat playing cricket. He starts by drawing a simple human figure batting, and then uses this outline to draw a cat batting. Finally, Margot, inspired by a book called "Make moving patterns" by Tim Armstrong, makes her own optical illusions. She draws black parallel lines on a sheet of cellophane, and then uses this to draw birds, an ant and a face, which appear to move when the cellophane is moved over the top. Charley Says ... 5.10 min. | 5.0 avaliação | 422 exibições Charley Says was a series of very short cut-out animated cartoon Public Information Films for children, shown in the United Kingdom in the 1970s and 1980s for London's Central Office of Information. Most of the topics dealt with everyday safety issues children face, such as not going off with strangers or not playing with matches. They featured a little boy called Tony (voiced by the seven-year-old son of one of the neighbours of producer Richard Taylor) and his cat, named Charley, voiced by Kenny Everett, who would "miaow" the lesson of the episode, which the boy would then translate and explain. Often Charley served as the boy's conscience, similarly to Davey and Goliath or Jiminy Cricket of Disney's film Pinocchio. When Charley and the boy did the right thing, they were rewarded with something for the boy and a fish for Charley, which he ate rapidly. However, on other occasions, Charley suffered the consequences of doing the wrong thing (eg, in Charley's Tea Party he pulled a tablecloth and a teapot fell on him and scalded him). The films were produced by Richard Taylor Cartoons who also produced Crystal Tipps and Alistair. They also produced the controversial Protect and Survive series, narrated by Shakespearean actor Patrick Allen. Six films were produced: Charley -- Falling in the Water (60 s) Charley -- In The Kitchen (45 s) Charley -- Matches (30 s) Charley -- Mummy Should Know (60 s) Charley's Tea Party (45 s) Charley -- Strangers (60 s). + Informações |

World Mourns the Death of Meow the Cat 1.50 min. | 4.757576 avaliação | 11697 exibições No copyright infringement intended "Breaking news" "Meow RIP" "RIP MEOW" "Meow Dies" "Meow Died" "Meow Dead" A CAT that got international attention for tipping the scales at almost 18 kilograms has died. "Breaking news" "Claire Lomas" Soccer Chelsea Arsenal Highlights Football "English Premier League" "la liga" "Liga España" Goals goal "London Marathon 2012" The Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society said that the orange and white tabby named Meow died over the weekend, likely from complications from his morbid obesity. Meow, who was two-years-old, was taken to the shelter last month after his 87-year-old owner could no longer take care of him. The shelter put Meow on a diet and posted all his weigh-ins on a Facebook page that got national attention. Meow had lost some weight and was doing well when he began having breathing problems last Wednesday. Despite constant attention, and medical testing and treatment, Meow died on Saturday. Shelter Director Mary Martin says the entire staff is devastated, adding: 'We were in a race against time to get the weight off Meow before he developed complications from his obesity, and we lost. But we hope his fight will encourage other people to help their pets maintain the best health possible. Obesity is not something to be ignored.' When he was alive, Meow was not the fattest cat out there. That record belongs to Himmy, a tabby from Australia that weighed almost 21kg. The shelter said Guinness World Records has since stopped .... + Informações |
